This Interactive Reading
Book, by Joan Green, is designed to be used on many levels. Utilizing
the power of visual strategies, beginning readers learn to associate pictures
with words. Students move original, Velcro-backed drawings to match, identify,
label, sequence and create sentences while learning to read! INTERACTIVE READING
BOOKS are fun and rewarding for children with and without special needs.
Age 1+.
This book teaches the vocabulary of activities performed
at home. The pictures can be used as a visual schedule or as communication cards
in the home. The children work on matching, identifying, and labeling pictures.
They create sentences with the pictures and read the sentences with and then
without the pictures. Like in, 'I Go To School', pictures can also be used to
answer simple functional questions. (ex: Where do you go when you are tired?
Answer: To bed!)
Use this book with your students for identifying, matching, labeling,
sequencing, creating sentences and learning to read.
