Many of you have shared some wonderful comments and
stories on your positive experiences that The Entire World of R™ has had on
your teaching, on your students or your own children. The stories we've received
are truly amazing and inspiring to all of us.
As a reward to our loyal
customers, we thought we'd try
something fun and exciting--a contest.
It's simple, just answer the question: "Why
I love The Entire World of R™?"
Answer the question in either in video, audio or written form. Post your
response publicly on the web AND submit an official entry (see below) so we know where to
find it (and you). We must have a correct Internet address for the location
of your entry or else your submission in the contest is invalid. You can post to
your own Blog, website or networking
site (Facebook, You Tube, My Space, etc.). You can even post to The
Entire World of R™ Blog.
Your entry MUST be in the form of a video, audio or written form publicly
available on the Internet
We are looking for responses that:
(1) Most completely
answers the question ("Why
I love The Entire World of R™?,"
(2) Best describes the impact that The Entire World of R
has had on your teaching or your kids (improvement!), and
(3) Demonstrates the most originality.
Here's the best part: The Grand Prize winner will
receive $500. The second place winner will receive $100 and third place will get
$50.
The contest ends Dec. 31, 2009, so get moving.
Note: The "Entry Location" field of the entry form must contain the
web address of your video, audio or written entry. You may post your

Rules
1. TO ENTER: You may enter the “I
Love The Entire World of R” Contest by completing the entry form found on the
website at www.sayitright.org/contest.php,
a link to your video, audio, or Blog entry must be included. Or you may send an e-mail
with your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and entry location to info@sayitright.org.
Entries may only be submitted via e-mail or on the web. Video, audio, and Blog entries must be posted on the Internet in a forum publicly accessible (such as You Tube,
My Space or WordPress).
2. ELIGIBILITY: Contestants must be 18
years of age or older. Only one entry per person may be entered. Contestants are
responsible to ensuring that all laws are followed pertaining to the video of any
person appearing in a video entry, including receiving permission from that
person or that person’s parent of guardian.
3. CONTEST GUIDELINES: Participants
must create a video or written essay answering the question “Why I Love The
Entire World of R?”Entries will
be judged equally onthree mainareas: (1) completeness in answering the question. (2) impact that the
program has had on the entrants teaching or students and (3) originality.Say It Right reserves the right to make all judgments. All judgments by Say It Right as to
meeting the above criteria will be final.The
Contest starts Sept 28, 2009 and endsDec
31, 2009. Contest winners will be verified and announced in January 2010 on the
Say It Right Website and Say It Right E-mail newsletter.
4. PRIZES:One Grand Prize of $500 will be awarded. A second prize of $100 will be
award and a third prize of $50 will be awarded. Honorable mention prizes may be
awarded for additional entries as deemed appropriate by Say It Right.Honorable mention prizes will receive Say It Right Gift Certificates redeemable with Say It Right.
5. CONDITIONS: Say It Right
(“sponsor”) reserves the
right (but is not obligated) to verify eligibility qualifications of any entrant
or winner. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to
disqualify any suspect entry or entrant and to cancel, terminate, modify or
suspend the Contest and/or award the prizes from among all eligible, non-suspect
entries received as of the date of the termination, as Sponsor determines in its
sole discretion. Entries not complying with all rules are subject to
disqualification. Entries will be void if they are incomplete, late, lost,
damaged, not able to be viewed due to technical error or not submitted according
to contest rules. No correspondence regarding entries will be entered into with
entrants other than the potential prize winners. By entering, each entrant
licenses all rights to the content of his/her entry and the ideas/concepts
embodied therein. Sponsor shall have the right to modify, use, assign or dispose
of such entries however they see fit without approval of entrants or any third
party. All entries receiving a monetary prize will agree to keep available any
entry for a period of one (1) year for public access and/or they may provide a
copy to Say It Right for marketing purposes. Entrants grant Sponsor the right to
use their names, images, likenesses, photographs, voices and biographical
materials, and video submissions, for advertising, publicity and promotion
purposes including posting the videos or screen names online for any purpose or
on a winner’s list and other online announcements, and for sharing the videos
with the media for viewing, whether TV or print, without additional
compensation, unless prohibited by law. Neither entrants nor winner shall
receive any compensation or credit for use of entries, other than that disclosed
in these rules. Entrants agree that if selected as the Grand Prize winner, they
grant Sponsor and its designees the right to film and later publish footage of
the winner.
